We are promoting literacy by providing students with personalized books at NO cost to schools or students. It is sponsored by local businesses interested in promoting literacy.
Our goal is to provide ALL kindergarten students, in the participating school districts, with their own personalized book made especially for them.
Because illiteracy is a major concern today, it is very important to all parents and teachers to promote literacy. One great way to start getting children "hooked on books" is to give them a book where they are apart of the story. Imagine the thrill the student will experience when they see and recognize their own name in print in a storyline.
Studies have shown that good reading practices developed at an early age, encourages and provides children with a strong foundation to continue their studies especially if the book captures and holds their attention. So it is imperative to introduce books to them as early as possible and as soon as possible.
We acknowledge that reading is exciting especially when the story is about you.
As stated above, we are coordinating a 'Give-A-Book' program to provide kindergarten students a FREE book! To make these programs a success, more sponsors are needed for schools. To become a sponsor, or if you would like more information on becoming a sponsor, please click here.
A wonderful way to give back to the community is by helping promote literacy to our children!
